[s-cars] RE: big rear brakes

I'm sure a 6 speed would fix that whine.... I figured I would put
redline in the trans and take it easy in first gear. The guy who had the
car before me was a dentist who just got a brand new A8. He said the
belt had to be done at the 90k service. I have all the service records,
and no TB/WP was done. Sure it's the same car?
I think I'm going to go with the Avus 16's since 17's would be ruined on
the Michigan roads, it's a commuter car anyway. Not only are the roads
here super straight, they're falling apart. Good thing there are a few
tracks within a few hours!

And I would be very much in if there is a MI gathering. I have heard
of these CO mafiaso and do believe that the 'hoods of MI will take
over the S-car list.

Mike, I saw that car and didn't quite like the "gear" whine. Nothing
like a little whining to buy that 6-speed. =) From what I remember,
the car had recent TB,WP replacement so I don't know if you should do
it all over so soon. ??

And on the topic of cars in general, the potholes get any bigger in MI
and the moon will shy away because we have bigger "craters"!!! I
narrowly missed messing up a Mille Miglia last week and play dodgeball
every day to work! Bloody Idiotic MDOT!

Regards,
Abhijit

I work in Farmington Hills, but my live in Ann Arbor. Just got my 95
Tornado red S6 a few weeks ago. Did the 3 stage mcguires (sp?) wax job
over the weekend, and she's due for a timing belt, so that's my next
project. Car is all stock, I got it from the original owner in Grosse
Pointe Woods...First gear whines, and the 15 inch wheels need to be
upgraded as budget allows...
Glad to hear there are people that drive something that isn't made by
the big 3 in Michigan.
Mike
