[s-cars] Crank Case Pressure and Turbo Smoke?

Ignorant minds want to know and hopefully learn. The PCV valve will
theoretically keep bypass pressure from forcing oil where it should not be
thus avoiding the smoke of oil being burnt up. What will then happen to the
bypass pressure? It has to go somewhere so as not to make hoses pop off or
something else no? Does/should a blow-off valve then need to be plumbed in
as well?

Please indulge the musings of an admitted ignorant mind.

Regards,

Mark

Nothing can come out of the valve cover, it isn't vented... it's just a tube

that runs through it.

However that could mean that the PCV's are clogged or not doing their job

There are no stock PCV valves in the OE setup... and you won't feel any
pressure there. The only time this occurs is during bypass, at which time
you are
pressurizing the crankcase, and forcing oil where it shouldn't go.

Pressure can't go in to the valve cover. It will go THROUGH the valve cover

(remember it's JUST a tube) and ultimately into the crankcase.

Seems easy enough to try out and wont hurt anything assuming I have the
PCV

Exactly...

You are on the right track. Try the PCV, and see if it helps the situation.

If it doesn't, I'll buy you a beer to cover the cost of the valve!!
Good luck,
Dave
