The brake light is tied to two systems.  Your brakes and the power
steering hydraulic system.  Either the brake fluid reservoir or the
power steering reservoir is low and you're just above the level that
would trigger the level sensor.  As you accelerated the movement of
fluid in the reservoir was enough to trigger the low level sensor.  Same
effect will occur if you slam on the brakes.  My bet would be the power
steering reservoir as the pump is notorious for developing leaks at the
top plug.  BTDT
