Should have add the Es2 group to your question.
 
RS2 half shafts are different from S2, because of the different outer  hubs.
 
6 speed is longer and wider.  Needs a different driveshaft, which is  
shorter.  S2 driveshaft or 4000Q.  But there was someone who  compressed stock 
driveshaft and made it work.  Don't know the long  term.
 
Flanges on the 6 speed are larger vs 90, larger CVs, and being as the  
transmission is wider, requires S2 half shafts.  At least this what I found  on my 
coupe.
