Still sounds like a battery problem to me. The ECU needs...
10V? to work. A 10V battery may be able to spin the engine,
but not strong enough to feed the ECU. And that 10V may be
due to corroded connections at the batter, or the cable splice
under the passenger floorboard (is that true for the C4 S cars;
I know it's there on the Type 44).
