Maybe it's just me, but I don't run my car to redline through every
gear. I'll do it once in a while, but not often.

I'd rather not put that stress on the engine when it's unnecessary- I
try to keep a self-imposed 5500rpm redline.

As for car dealers who won't let you drive a sports car hard, that's
ridiculous. I can understand if they object to you 4-wheel drifting
every corner in traffic, but with a car like the Evo, you have to
drive it to redline to get a good feel of what the power delivery is
like. Heck, I had to take an RSX-S past 6000 just to feel the VTEC
changeover and then all of a sudden, the engine got really powerful.

I'm not advocating taking on everyone's challenge, but it gets
annoying when every ricer tailgates you at 85mph on the highway in
traffic.
