Code 2224 can also be thrown when the ECU "thinks" its in an overboost
situation, caused by a defective MAF or dirty/corroded connections on
the MAF and MAF cable.
BTDT, feels like you drove into a brickwall, sort of a bucking feeling.
If it is just "losing" boost I would recommend checking the water trap
on the firewall. Even though mine was all connectted it is evidently
loose or has a crack because in COLD weather I go out and just lose
boost...no drivability problems other than no boost.
