Dave,
I use an HKS boost controller, but am considering moving to a manual
"schrapnelknobben" as it were. The HKS works fine, but when you start
thinking about what happens when the solenoid freezes or the stepper
motor fails to, well, motor, life gets interesting real quick.
The HKS is the industry standard as I understand it and has a lot of
features, but it's worth a shot, before you spend another 500 on an
electronic device that might not do what you want, you may want to
look into a manual "Dial-A-Boost".
>From what I hear over in Evoland, the Hallman is one of the better
ones out there. Especially since you're looking to hold a certain
boost level and make things less complicated, it's worth a shot, at
100 bucks for the Hallman Pro, it's worth it, since you can probably
eBay it for 90% of that if it doesn't work out for you.
