[s-cars] Big Reds, Euro Lights,
Lowered Suspension - just paid for themselves - avoided the herd

Driving the 95 S6 through the Allegheny National Forrest last night,
cruising along in the 50's, clear night, not much traffic on the back
road, snow had stopped earlier in the day so the roads were dry, I came
around a 120 degree bend, switch back in the other direction and what do
I see, but a herd of Elk running across the road in both directions and
a couple running straight at me (quantify - a herd in PA is 15 to 20 as
elk are making a slow comeback).
A couple quick turns of the wheel and I was around the 2 coming at me.
Brakes on hard and was still able to steer clear of another one - missed
him be inches.
This car sure can stop with the Big Reds! They just paid for themselves
in my book. Hit an elk or two and I can guess the repair would be well
into the thousands. The coil overs handled the abrupt turns perfectly,
and the euro lights gave me the time to react. Now, how can I justify
the RS2 go-fast upgrades? Maybe I could have already been through this
section of road if I were going faster?
Or is it an opportunity lost? Could have been the chance to got the
FMIC, euro bumper, euro HIDs.
Home safe and sound in one piece. All elk will live another day to
reproduce more moving targets in the future.
