Pete,
El cheapo fix I used. Held up for three years and still holding as far as I know. My lines rotted out where they connect to the body. Bad German design. I figured, why would new lines work if they were the same design. Eventually they would go too....If mounted the same way.
Here's what I did:
I removed all the rubber surrounding the lines. You will see the damage still pending...Argh. Anywho, I took a small plumbing supply tubing cutter and cut a 1" section out of each rotting section of line, in many places mind you. I then got some high pressure rubber fuel injection hose at CAP auto parts. Put it over the cut lines with two hose clamps. To remount lines to body, I saved the metal clamps, discarded the rubber, and used small peices of cut fuel line as protection around the line. I also used zip ties as extra security holding the metal clamp shut and tight to body.
I think our Canadian salt loving lister Vincent clued me into the idea years back. I was into it for like $10 and never had a problem again.

Spending time this past weekend under the Mrs' Avant and my 90 have led
me
to the conclusion that I will have to replace fuel lines and likely
some
brake lines in the not too distant future.
For laughs I called Mac at Clair Parts and he said that the factory
lines
are about $240 EACH for the supply and return lines on the CQ.
For that money I can buy a really good bubble flare tool and lots of
hard line.
So, any recommendations, BTDT for the tools and the line material?
