The replacement fuel line in the recall has the metal-to-rubber connections
near the fuel filter double-crimped.
I too had a leak on the driver's side about 4 years ago... just once on an 8
degree F December afternoon it was dripping like crazy, wish I would have
thought to camcorder it. On the urS4 this piece of fuel line goes to a
banjo bolt at the front on the fuel rail, but on the urS6 it is one piece
with the fuel rail, so I ordered a whole new fuel rail assembly. It took 3
months to come from Germany, looks like it was hand made (pieces put on a
jig a brazed together.) In the mean time, the leak stopped; it never leaked
again.
The new fuel rail assembly has the supply line double-crimped just like the
recall line near the fuel filter. Wish Audi would pay for my fuel rail
assembly as I feel this is the same design defect as the recall leak near
the fuel filter.

P.S. I also had a leak in my fuel sender assembly... the round plastic plate
that fits in to top of the fuel tank developed a crack, which caused it to
leak whenever the tank was full. Haven't heard of anyone else having this
particular leak.
