To all so affected:

FWIW the original problem is that the connector by the fuel filter is
improperly swaged onto the fuel line. The connector will spin and thus leak fuel.
On my car the connector on the driver's side also loosened up and was
leaking fuel, especially in the winter. The previous owner had the fuel filter
connector cut out and replaced with high pressure fuel hose (Colorado car if I
recall!). I tried to get Audi to replace the driver's side connector/fuel
line but Audi just ignored me. I later cut out that connector and replaced it
with similar high pressure hose. No problem in the last two years. BTW I
keep a screwdriver in the car in case the hose connectors loosen. It happened
once and now I check them annually. I also received a KY recall notice from
Audi. I think I just send them this email.

Regards,
