Hey are the Bose systems you guys are replacing, working systems ?  

I've caught flames before for saying it and I'll say it again, I like my BOSE !!! 

I recently picked up another Audi that the previous owner had installed a high end system. Alpine, BA. (ok, middle ground) Twin 10" subs on the rear deck and 8 other various sized speakers in various places. Not sure what kind of wattage I'm getting from the amps but they can make using the rear view mirrors pointless.... 8-)  It DOES sound VERY nice but I'm sure it costed the previous owner a small fortune.  My insurance co will be getting some pictures for replacement value and I can't wait to see their estimate.

But you know what, I'd say, the BOSE is it's equal !  I've owned three different 94's, all with the 10 disk changer and have had ONE problem. The volume pot on one crapped out, and rather than repair, picked up another head unit from a lister for $50....  a buddy of mine had a rear amp failure and he picked one up on ebay for $30... replacement parts are cheap and readily available.

Till I hear something that just blows me away, I'll keep my BOSE, thank you very much....
