[s-cars] trouble shooting central door locking

Hi,
I'm troubling shooting a central door locking system from my 1992 S4 avant
which I can't figure out. It didn't work when I bought the car and an alarm
was installed which I'm replacing now. So I need some help on this. What I
found until now is a centr.door lock. wire from the driver side door which was
cut and I tried my pump in another car which was OK. How to proceed?
