Is the SKC code the "secret" code you need as a password to access
stuff via VAG-COM?
Can't the dealership get that info for you?
BTW, Volvo is worse- there is no emulation program, all of the Volvo
diagnostic computers use a subscription-based system (each computer
has it's own unique subscription) and you have to take the car to the
dealer for stupid stuff like they didn't reset the service indicator
on the last oil change so now it comes up "service engine" every time.
