The cd player in my wife's '96 A6 comes up with the dread CDERR 
once every coupla months. And it's starting to annoy her. It takes 
me about 15 minutes to clear the error (remove the player from 
car, remove from casing, futz with it till it coughs up its 
hairball, replace).

However, I'd like to get off this particular treadmill.

Does anyone have a good spare 6 disk CD player for an S6 or A6? I 
don't remember offhand which model it is, but it is the same unit 
that is in a '95.5 S6.
