No, salt DOES have an effect on these cars. Ask anyone who spends a lot of
time wrenching on these in the New England area. Personally "known to be"
bad salt areas can be anything affecting the rear brakes (lines, sensors,
calipers etc.) and suspension parts. There are probably others. AFAIK, the
body panels, as long as the car's been decently taken care of, seem to hold
up well.
