But if I clip the turbine, will I lose power or drivability somewhere else?
Just don't do it. Porsche engineers designed it just fine
I may have found a new RS2 for a more reasonable price.
Can I still use my stock MAF or do I have to upgrade it?
Yes, you can use the stock MAF. Opinions vary, but a stock MAF with the
screens removed should get you very close to the power made with the RS@ MAF.
What type of HP are you seeing with the Garret units?
If you're talking about the hybrids that bolt on to the RS2 EM, ours were
putting out 330 to 340, depending on the turbine wheel used.
What software do you use for a RS2?
Use the hybrid software that is in the hands of various listers. Steve
Eiche at Shadetree Software can help you. You will also need to use a VMAP
pressure transducer. He has those as well. I don't know of anyone who is as good
with an ECU as Steve.
Garrett?
Uses the same software, injectors, etc.
How much should I plan to budget for the software?
You'll have to ask Steve. I don't know the going rate right now.
HTH,
Dave
