[s-cars] Alarm System Problems

Hi Guys;
I used to use the Microsloth Cure but when my alarm system started fouling
up on a regular basis I had to find a faster method so I could get to work
on time.
This is what I do now:
1. Unlock car (confused alarm sets itself ON)
2. Open drivers door and pop hood release. Confused alarm may trip or not -
depends on it's mood at the time.
3. Lock the car. The alarm will set itself OFF and shut up if it is honking
at you.
4. Lift the hood, open the relay box, and remove circuit breaker A2 (takes
power off the lock and alarm circuit).
5. Unlock the car with the key. The alarm is now OFF and the car is
unlocked.
6. Re-install breaker A2 to power the lock and alarm circuit. Everything is
now in sync.
This only takes a couple of minutes to re-sync the alarm. FWIW I haven't had
alarm issues since I found and eliminated the current drain problem in the
power window auto-close circuit.

The Microsloth Cure:
Step 1: Replace key fob battery.
Step 2: Have the radio code in hand.
Step 3: Get down on your knees and pray to the Audi gods.
Step 4: Remove rear seat.
Step 5: Disconnect battery under rear seat.
Step 6: Wait a few seconds.
Step 7: Reconnect battery.
Step 9: Replace seat.
Step 10: Recode radio.
Step 11: Try the key.
Step 12: Find another 12 step program. ;-)
