s-heads and Big Turbo aficionados
I have decided to take the plunge into the world of stand alone engine
management(SAEM). This decision was brought on by a number of factors. First of all,
my custom SW and Big MAF were doing an excellent job of handling the new GT
35R turbo, tubular exhaust manifold, and 3 1/2" downpipe. I have had the car
into Dave Jones' new shop 3R Racing in Denver for an idle issue and he started
my mind turning about going to an SAEM. He has made me an offer I just can't
refuse. This will also have me all set when I do go with a stroker motor.
Given all these factors I will have some parts available for purchase. I'm
not sure what the prices will be but I do want to keep the MAF, ECU and stuff,
RAIS, and the SW as a package. The POSs and the harness are avaiilable
seperately. I would be interested in your thoughts on the value of these items.
1. 928 S4 Pederhousen Big MAF(PBMAF).
2. AAN ECU with 10 pot adjustable resistor and 3.0 Bar transducer. The
adjustable resistor allows
this MAF to be read by the ECU.
3. Custom dyno tuned SW by Sportec. This SW works with RC 440cc @ 3.0 bar
injectors and a variety
of larger turbos including T04E 57 trim, GT 35R, and GT 30R.
4. Custom ram air intake system(RAIS) with plumbing that fits a 3" or 4"
compressor inlet.
5. 2 used and 1 brand new POSs.
6. urS4 wiring harness.
Thanks for your thoughts and ideas.
