It's interesting to note that both H&R and Eibach powdercoat their
springs, as do Intrax and some of the smaller companies.

I would think that powdercoating would not be used if it was that bad-
I saw a segment on a TV show a while back where the show went to H&R's
factory and they explained how powdercoating was the most durable
finish for their springs, that is why they used it.
