I guess that the question would then be: " do they test the finish on a 
spring in a dynamic spring environment, under tension, compression and 
torsion..?"

or do they just paint a spring and expose it to environmental conditions.

In the northeast, it seems that ALL the powdercoated spring finishes fail 
and allow the springs to rust....
