So I finally stuck my head under the hood and checked, I definately have an
RS2 manifold. Found the another pic showing the differences between the two
http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/mvc-601f.jpg Only found out a year after
ownership. The guy I bought it from said it did not have any mods that he
knew of. So over the course of a year I have noticed I have Koni shocks
(stock springs), upgraded dash bulbs and now the RS2 manifold.(Good thing I
did not jump in on the last group buy for that) So how can you tell if your
car is chipped or not? I will pull the ECU when it gets warmer in the spring
and check.
You will have to forgive me for not knowing, but my '85 GTI only has 140 hp
at most. The winter car I had before the S6 was a '87 VW Quantum syncro
wagon with about 112 hp. My S6 is the only ur-S4/S6 I have driven.
