Hi Chris;

Sorry to be picky, but a socketed ECU is not the telltale sign. Some of
the tuners like Hoppen and IA did not socket the board when they
installed chips, they just soldered the modified chips back into the
board.

Also, some of the early cars came socketted from the factory, which
confuses things more.
