S-gruppees: I have borrowed an "official" fuel pump carrier removal tool (with the drive "socket" pre-broken so I won't have that worry to concern me). I have a good idea as to what needs to be done to remove and replace the existing fuel pump. However, any hints, e.g. how to orient the tool to hit the three clips the first time, no smoking, etc. etc., would be appreciated. I am going to replace whatever is in the tank now (VDO, Pierberg, Bosch???) with a new Bosch 091 G pump to see if I can make my RS2-based pinging go away. If not, I am moving on the Bosch Motorsport 044 pump - either in the tank or in-line, using the OEM pump as the low pressure supply pump.
