[s-cars] Horns stopped working?!?

I think we may share the same gene pool Taka, but I'll give it a whirl
nonetheless. A clicking relay is good IMO but still may be the culprit.
Did you check for current at the horn connectors? If yes, horn gone bad
perhaps? Do you still have your OE horns to test that? No current, check
the relay. Those suckers are just like the window switches and build up
crud on the contact points. Take the sucker apart and clean it.

I cannot state emphatically enough that I too took the short bus to
electrical automotive wiring class so all bets are off.

Regards,

Mark

Subject: [s-cars] Horns stopped working?!?

I guess I'm pretty much a retard when it comes to automotive
electrical wiring, so I need your help! :-)

I wired in a set of Hella supertone horns into my car, worked fine w/o
any problems- hook up the stock wiring to the horns, run grounds to a
screw into the body.

Today I use the horn, works fine for a second, then quits. Now the
horn fuse is fine, the horn relay clicks when the horn pad is pushed,
but no sound.

Any suggestions as to what happened? I looked at the connections,
everything seems to be connected fine. I did not pass through a car
wash or anything like that recently, so I really don't know what could
have caused the horns to suddenly stop working, while it was in use.

Taka
