Paul,
I among many other Colorado guys are running the Fumoto valve.
I have never heard of any case where it was inadvertently opened. It
does have a built in safety so you actually have to press it in 2
simultaneous directions to open the valve.
Makes oil changes a snap!

Subject: [s-cars] I Won
Hello All,
After the 2 day battle with my drain plug I finally got it out. It
don't look so good. 17mm wrench rounded it. Vice grips oblonged it. 5/8"
wrench mashed it. Liquid wrench made it slippery. Finally pipe wrench
bit into it and removed it. Have all knuckles.
FLAPS doesn't have drain plug. Local stealership is 2 hrs away which
will probably be my next trip.
Robert Myers recomended a drain valve. Of course I didn't keep the
link. I'm interested.
Question:
Has anyone living in snow country used this valve? I'm concerned about
packed snow opening the valve. Often I will be driving in 1' plus of
snow. I wouldn't want it opening up while driving.
TIA,
Paul
