I wired in a set of Hella supertone horns into my car, worked fine w/o
any problems- hook up the stock wiring to the horns, run grounds to a
screw into the body.

Today I use the horn, works fine for a second, then quits. Now the
horn fuse is fine, the horn relay clicks when the horn pad is pushed,
but no sound.

Any suggestions as to what happened? I looked at the connections,
everything seems to be connected fine. I did not pass through a car
wash or anything like that recently, so I really don't know what could
have caused the horns to suddenly stop working, while it was in use.

Ahhhhhhh, not quite another way to say "FU" than with a nice shiny set
of red grilled Hella Supertones.  A cross between '84 Volvo 245 and say
a Military vehicle, or your Subie horn on bizarro steroids.  Rotated
those through the 242GT, ///M5, 2.3-16, 300E, then finally got tired of
swapping them out.  Will be missed!

ANYwayz...  as 'screwy' as this may sound and if my faintest of faint
remaining recollections remains...  I believe each has an adjuster screw
in the front center, no?  Do you hear the horns sound like they're
trying to jump to life when button pushed (have some stick ear next to
and listen)?  Try backing out each adjuster screw a C-hair...  I think
mine had a tendency to 'lock up' of sorts when I first had installed
them.  Man, taxing my brain, nearly 15 years now?  Scary.  Exact same
scenario I believe...

The list doesn't oft discuss the merits of HapperHORNS now does it?  Too
bad, I've got some ideas that might likely make me look even more
disturbed than typical 8-).  Gotta have a good horn heh heh.  I heard
Swanson's Ferrariesque blasters, was thinking more Kenworth or
Peterbuilt muwhahahhaa...
