The piece that mounts to the windshield will separate from the mirror -- 
carefully pull it out of the socket. Helps if all is warm -- plastics 
tend to get a little brittle in cold weather. Just apply steady pressure 
and it will pop out.

Clean the windshield and the surface of the mounting stub well. Mark the 
outside of the windshield, before you scrape/clean the old glue off. 
Apply adhesive, then lots of pressure for a couple minutes, then tape 
the mount to the windshield overnight. Warm weather helps. You might 
(carefully) use a worklight to keep all warm, or consider relocating out 
of the snowbelt, if that's where you live. 88 degrees in beautiful

>Anyone had luck re-attaching their rear view mirror to the wind shield (and black antennae box in the rear for that matter).  I tried a kit from Napa that consisted of an adhesive and activator without success.
