Feels like it boost is coming on close to 4k rpm. In addition I

can hear something "spinning down" after I lift my foot off the
gas.
Unfortunately the wife couldn't hear it, hoping it's just the sign
of
a
boost leak.

tomorrow I plan on digging into it starting by checking for boost
leaks, connections for the boost line to the ecu, anything else I
should check?

If a turbo was failing what sign would it give? Just hoping it
isn't
the turbo....please reassure me it isn't! :-)
