What's an annual inspection?

Something I have experienced not in Ohio nor Indiana nor Michigan (IIRC).

Someone did look at each VIN plate through the windshield when I registered
each car. I guess they looked and saw that each had wheels too, but it was
a passing glance sort of thing.

This is probably related to the number of cars I pass to escape the noxious
plume emanating from somewhere under the car where the remnants of an
exhaust system reside.

Like I needed another reason to pass cars.

Around here we test brakes everyday by retaining designated idiots who
slowly pull into speeding traffic because they apparently cannot judge
speed and/or distance or, perhaps, because they feel entitled to that
particular spot on the road at that particular time. Whatever the thinking,
or lack thereof, brake checks are built into the system. It all has a
Darwinistic nature to it.

 Oh, and I like things around here just fine.

I get my new license tags by mail.
