We use a lot of AMP connectors on our vehicles.   IIRC, you can make a
pin releasing tool by taking a paperclip and grinding it down a bit on
a belt or rotary grinder :-D  This is handy if you have to work on a
wiring harness after the tool crib is closed for the day ;-)  Using
the correct tools makes working with these connectors a real breeze
though.
