[s-cars] Tail light gasket/sealing

Joe,

I used 3M Strip Caulk (available at NAPA). If you use caulk that
forms a permanent seal you will damage the paint and lens if you ever
need to remove it again. The 3M product is similar to the factory
sealant, stays flexible and sticky for about 10 years, not too shabby!

Just my $0.02,

My right tail light/backup light has collected some water. It appears that
the gasket has deteriorated. Short of getting a "sealing cord" from the
dealer has anyone used a silicon caulk, etc to reseat the light assembly?
Also, I am thinking about drilling a small drain hole in the bottom in case
it happens again. Any suggestions?
Joe
