Dave....what did you guy's use for your adaptor on Haps motor, hmm looks
like 304 s.s. Turbines in turbo's are made of basically stainless steel,
I know that I have seen some nitronic 50 or 60 alloy's used, they are in
the stainless steel family, in cheaper applications and in more
expensive one's they are made of inconel and other typically high nickel
alloys.

Just my opinion, & I'm certainly no materials engineer, but
generally
stainless (I'll concede it does come in different flavors, and
most
importantly, different wall thicknesses) isn't the best choice
for very high
heat applications.... like a turbo.
Hmm... the hottest parts in the turbo application would be the EM and
the turbine housing, right? Neither of these parts are made with SS in
the OE applications. Seems like that is worth considering. My header
was made with weld els, from what I can tell. Maybe it'll last, maybe
it won't... but it currently has nearly 17k miles on it, is ceramic
coated (on the outside), and has been to the point of glowing brightly
on many, many occasions.
