[s-cars] Power Steering Pump Leaking

Dave,
Your pump is probably leaking at the mating halves gasket, so you
will need
that gasket for sure and a means to press the two halves back
together, ie, a
judiciously used hydraulic press or large clamp. The bolts are not
strong
enough to pull the two halves back together. Ivan's point is why
not replace
all the o-rings you probably have to buy in the kit while it's open.
Try these folks: <www.autohausaz.com> and search by part
number for
026 198 049 That is a 200/20v part # but the pump is the same
except for
the pulley. If you find the Audifans instructions you should be in
good shape.
And Ivan, stop buying those expensive dealer parts. ;-)
Audifans FAQ lists 035 198 049 for the kit. Autohaus has that one
too, cheaper.
YMMV, but think of the fun you're having.
