Are you sure it is coming from the suspension/drive line?

If you are low on oil (or if your oil is too thin), low oil
pressure on start-up might cause the lifters to tick. As you
rev the engine, or accelerate in 2nd and higher gears, or
have the engine running above idle, the oil pressure would
increase, making the noise go away. It's a long shot, but
it's easy to check the oil level.
