Use Channel 51 of the HVAC diagnostic procedure to check coolant temps. If Channel 51 doesn't say 89 deg C or so after you have been running for some time (even idling), then your thermostat is stuck open and needs to be replaced. If the Channel 51 reading is good but the temp gauge is showing low, you have a bunned multifunction temperature switch underneath the intake manifold (near the front). Its the one with the big mulit-pin connector not the two pin after-run pump switch.
