I bought the H&Rs on my S4 used, tha last owner had
wound the sleeves up so high they didn't work as they
are supposed to.   The noise of slapping coils was
really loud.  I was able to work the sleeves back down
to where they were effective.  Get the front wheels
off the ground to relax the coils and maybe some
WD-40.  You can do it.

I've had the exact opposite experience. On BOTH of my 94's with H+R's I had a really bad creaking sound till I removed the plastic tubing.
Cut away the tubing and no more noise !   I had been posting to the list when this was driving me crazy and when I finally did cut them off and reported success I probably got four or five responses from others who had been having the same problem and followed my lead, and also reported success....  course ymmv...
