[s-cars] Temp guage/thermostat/MFTS Issues

Douglas;

Sounds like the thermostat is sticking open slightly. The coolant
temperature should be between 87-90 celcius.

If you replace the t-stat here is a tip - check to make sure it opens by
immersing in hot water. Using a thermometer, measure the water temp and
increase heat so water is boiling. The t-stat should start open at 85
and be full open at 95 celcius, plus/minus.

I found out the hard way that my new t-stat was defective and would not
open - had to do the job all over again.
