[s-cars] CC code 29.4 belt slip detection "hard" sporadic

The belt must be the aircon compressor belt. There are sensors to tell the
CC head about road speed, engine speed and compressor speed. Not sure why
it needs to know all those things, but it does. The CPU would easily be
able to tell if the engine speed and the compressor speed were not at the
correct ratio.

If all you see on channel 01c is 29.4, then you only have one fault - a
loose or worn belt (or a compressor with bad bearings, or a bad connection
to the rpm sensor). If you had sticking flap motors, then you would see the
01c channel display alternating between all the different error codes.

checked codes via CC unit using channel 1, recieved code 29.4, belt slip
detection "hard" sporadic
what belt has it detected?
timing belt 2.5 years ago jumped a tooth or so, was fixed, could this code
be old from that?
is channel 1 the only channel used to check diagnostic trouble codes?
this is where I would check for code for bad flaps and motors according to
Paul?
all other channels give values and temps etc.?

can you chime in Paul?
gracias
