I watched a pro put a pair of lamp guards on my C5 ecode 
headlamps. Then I put a pair of similar lamp guards on my wife's 
C4 ecode headlamps (easy there!)

I would *not* want to do sheetmetal. A simple surface like the 
headlamp is tricky enough...

On the other hand, if you can find a supplier of the stuff that 
will precut the patterns for you, it's probably worth trying.

There's a trick to it - getting the correct fluid to put under the 
film. It's not water...and you don't want to mount it dry (I SAID 
easy there!)
