[s-cars] Kids and cars

Ian,
I'd say the F-150 is a great idea until you have to fill it up. The up side
is that she'll never want to drive it so that fuel economy would just be a
small consideration. Also, parking a bigass buffoon of a truck like that
will be a serious PITA.....just saying from experience and would think you'd
have some serious insurance bills after she hits something in the parking
lot. I do see your point in looking for a big hog of a vehicle for your
daughter to drive but there are other people in the world to consider like
the ones driving smaller than F-150 cars that may be in her path. How about
a nice Ovlov 240DL? Decent gas mileage and built like a tank! I'll be in
your shoes in about 15 years when I'm looking for a tank for my now 6 month
old daughter to drive. I do, however, like the character building idea of
driving an old tired beast. That was half the fun in HS for me! Ha ha!
Just my $.02,
Jason Mawhinney
