Dave, would using the 3071 require upgrading the head studs or possibly the pistons? The 3071 looks like it makes a lot power that the RS2 turbo... Then again I guess if you use RS2 software or similar and don't seek the limits of that turbo the engine should be fine?
I figured if Mark wants to stay in safer limits.. the GT28RS or GT2871RS would be comparable to the RS2 yet quicker response.

I would suggest the 3071. Javad has it with the KKK hot side. I ran it on my car for awhile using the .63 A/R turbine, and it hits as early as an RS2. It has the benefit of being able to move about 44lbs/min efficiently, as opposed to only about 34lbs/min for the RS2.

Mark, take a look at the turbo's offered by http://www.034efi.com/index.php?cPath=21 <http://www.034efi.com/index.php?cPath=21>
The GT28RS sounds like what you are looking for...comparable to RS2, however you
might want to consider the GT2871RS too.
I have not tried any of these myself, however if you are looking for ball
bearing turbo's 034efi has a full line up for the I5 20V.
