As of yesterday, there were still spots open, any S-car listers going?

-----------------------------
The Boston Chapter of the BMWCCA is having a test & tune session at the Ft.
Devens runways on Sunday, October 30. This is the most fun autocross event
of all, it is a practice session with several courses to pick from and an
opportunity for a LOT of runs. You can take instructors with you and ride
in other people's cars, and for this session only you do not have to be a
BMWCCA member. You can take this opportunity to tweak your car suspension
or just get a lot of seat time. If you're new to autocrossing, it's a
chance to try it in a more relaxed, uncompetitive event.
Here are some details:
*Anyone can attend. You DO NOT have to be a BMWCCA member to register for
this event.
*You get more seat time in your car during the day than any other event we
host.
*Instructors will drive your car if you want them to.
*Instructors are from NER, BMW, and PCA.
*The event has limited registration to insure tons of runs for each student,
or driver.
*Low Instructor to student ratios
*Suspension setup feedback by the instructors
*Sit in other drivers cars for runs
*Go for rides in instructors cars
*Use the exercise areas for hours of practice!
*True Test & Tune drivers will be given special waivers on worker
assignments.
*$40 entry fee.

Devens is located about 30 miles west of Boston and 30 miles NE of
Worcester. You have to be there early, no details on this event have been
posted yet, but typically driver's meeting is at 8 am. You need a 1995 or
newer SNELL/DOT helmet, bring your tire pressure gauge and inflator, no
special tire requirements. There's a tech inspection, no loose items in the
car, remove spare tire and mat.
This is an event not to be missed, I attended the spring BMW T&T and it was
a lot of fun, you get plenty of seat time which is always hard to get in
autocrossing. There was a shortened course (50 seconds or so), a slalom
course, a figure-8 course, a pivot course and a skid pad. The course is
timed but results are not posted.
Registration starts Monday, October 17 and it's all done on-line. These
events fill up FAST, usually within the first day or two, so don't delay.
I'll be there in the Miata, hope to see a bunch of you there!
