You can get a little grounding strap that hangs from the chassis and
drags along the ground to prevent build up of static electricity in
the car.   I've seen metal ones and rubber ones.  They look funny but
I suppose its better than getting zapped.... My 93 Subie Legacy did
that to me all the time.
