  If you are calling the metal round thing on top of the exhaust manifold 
the bypass valve (it actually is but different), that is the wastegate and 
there won't be a hose hooked up to the fitting on top, it is vented to the 
atmosphere on this application. The actual Bosch bypass valve is a plastic 
valve that is located on the big rubber hose connected to the front of the 
Turbo compressor. Close to the front right headlight.  MGH
