If someone is wants a softer setup than the H&R combos I mentioned, the
Eibach/Bilstein combo is very very nice- I've driven and ridden in an S6 
with
the Eibach/Bilstein setup and it feels like "OEM+" in that it's a very 
smooth
ride, a little stiffer all around but _NICE_. Not the best setup for pushing
your car hard around the track, but as a daily driver, very nice.

I think Steve's comments are spot-on- very good advice. I would add one 
thing-
you need to revalve Bilsteins if you go with Bilstein shocks with H&R 
springs-
at least the 29971 and the other set (don't know if the '971 are V8 or S6+).
The reason being is that the spring rates are too high for the Bilstein 
Sports,
the shocks need to be revalved to work better with the higher spring rates. 
I guess
the Bilsteins are practically tailor-made for the Eibachs.
