Paul;
Carefully inspect the seating surface on the pump and the new plug for wear
and damage. Did you torque the new plug (I think it takes 25 ft-lb or so)?
As a last resort you could try a slightly larger section o-ring, but the
plug is meant to bottom out on the pump seat and if the o-ring has too large
a section the plug won't seat properly.
I replaced my leaker with a new plug and o-ring from the dealer and had no
leaks.

I must be a complete idiot.
This is my second O-Ring/Plug (purchased from SJMAuto) for my 1993 Audi S4,
and
I still see Hydraulic Fluid seeping from under the X-Plug.
Per suggestions, I let the O-Ring sit in pentosin for a good while (15
minutes), before placing it on a X-plug with Hydraulic fluid on it too.
I tightened it down, started the car up, and after a while, I immediatley
see
fluid seeping out.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Paul
