[s-cars] Need help with the 1.8t coil pack conversion

As you may know, I am 'sperimentin'. I have five 06B 905 115L late
model 1.8t coil packs (which are POS, coil and plug connectors all in
one), five 4B0 973 724 empty four wire connectors (to mate to the
115Ls), ten 000 979 133 A twp female spade connector pig-tails, the S4
and 1.8t wiring diagrams, lots of reasonably colour-coded wire and
crossed fingers.

I am trying to do this completely plug and play (no cuttting of any
original wires). I have solved the problem of the coil power connectors
(I will let you know the details later) BUT I haven't been able to solve
the POS connector problem (yet). This is where I need somebody's help.

I have figured out the wiring from the ECU to the N122 and N127 POS
units (Note: The Bentley is wrong about N127 for cylinders 4 and 5).
What I need is a four flat pin connector to take the place of the POS
connection so I can plug it into the four pin connectors from the ECU.
I hadn't really thought about it before but the electrical system is
inherently quite safe. Input power is carried in female electrical
connectors (in this case spade connectors) that, in turn, are carried
in male plastic housings. The powered device, e.g. the POS units, have
male spade connectors in a female plastic housing. So the power
connectors are physically shielded by plastic bits, which obviously
makes shorting things out difficult (but not impossible). What I need
is a four pin connector with a female plastic housing with four male
spade connectors to mimic the POS.

I scoured a VW wrecking yard on Saturday (the Audi wrecker was closed)
and didn't find any suitable four pin connectors, perhaps, because IF
there were any, they would be powered devices, not actual connectors.

My thoughts at this point include a) finding 2 dead POS units and
hacking them to relieve them of their 4 pin connector housing (not
pretty and no really very plug and play for others to follow (if the
whole thing works)) or b) buy some male spade connectors, get the
spacing correct by plugging them into the POS-trigger signal connectors
from the ECU (ignition way off) and then "casting" them into epoxy (just
to fix the spacing). The latter is more DYI but would require two tie
wraps to hold the result into connectors from the ECU.

I am open to other suggestions. (I have talked to AMP by the way -
"restricted parts")

Remember these 1.8t coil all-in-one coil packs cost $30 each. (If this
works, everybody will benefit).
