Subject: Greetings from Saskatchewan !

Had my car (96 S6) in the shop for a new coil, I will be glad when they
have all been replaced!!! They did a coil and connector, then they said
the coil screwed up a control module? ... anyway, driving home, it felt
like it was running well then all of a sudden it just shut it self off,
completely went dead. Turns over and won't start..... then the dreaded
flat bed ride to the dealer. I did see a post from someone that
mentioned a coil ground resulting in a flat bed ride.

There is one other thing, I doubt if it is related, but I will mention
it...my left signal when activated creates an ugly sound from the
emergency switch, my guys tell me it is the switch... just thought I
would mention it.

Anyway, any ideas what would cause this thing to just shut down.... they
hooked up the VAG, and I don't think they were getting codes, but I am
not sure they were getting anything.

ps,how long should Audi rear brake hoses last, I put new ones on 3 yrs
ago and they are telling me they are screwed.... that does not seem like
a long time for a brake hose, maybe I'm getting parts paranoia.
